DW GLOBAL MEDIA FORUM 2020
Pluralism. Populism. Journalism.
The DW Global Media Forum (GMF) is an international media conference where representatives from the fields of journalism, digital media, politics, business, development, academia as well as society and culture come together to learn, discuss and find solutions. Taking a look at the media, foreign policy, development, academia, culture and society, the Global Media Forum offers a unique interdisciplinary perspective on the media’s role in solving our current and future global challenges.
This year's focus theme will be: "Pluralism.Populism.Journalism". Never have there been more opportunities for free expression than there are now. But the downside to all that is that digital information can also open the floodgates to all manner of abuse, fake news and lies.
With 2,000 participants from over 120 countries – from editors to politicians, from CEOs to activists – the DW Global Media Forum provides a unique opportunity to network, get inspired and collaborate using a wide variety of state-of-the-art formats.
